The German owned cargo ship Charelle, hijacked by Somali pirates near Oman in June, has been released, the European Union naval force said on Thursday.

The Centres to Seafarers provide a warm welcome to all seafarers visiting our ports and to seafarers and their dependants who are resident in the City.

Each Centre is home to the three port chaplains representing the Apostleship of the Sea, The Sailors' Society and The Mission to Seafarers. Free transport is provided from the docks complex to and from the Centres.

14th Aug 2010 - David Savage, a Trustee of AOS, will shortly be setting off for a Round-Britain Bike ride. The ride will start in Hull and take in all the major UK ports where the AOS has a presence. read more »

Forthcoming Events

Docklands Service January 4th 2011

The annual Docklands Service will take place on the first working day of 2011.

The ecumenical service will take place on Tuesday January 4th at 09:30 in the Southampton Seafarers Centre. The preacher will be Rev Tom Heffer Secretary General of The Mission to Seafarers.

All are welcome and coffee will be served at the conclusion of the service.
