Princess Cruises generous donation

With the naming of the Sea Princess in Southampton in June the management of Princess Cruises marked the occasion with a very generous donation to the Centre specifically for 'Communications Equipment'.

Our picture above shows the Master of the Sea Princess, Captain West, presenting a cheque for £9000 to John Hughes Chairman of Centre for Seafarers Trustees. With him is Rod Jenkins Centre Trustee, William Smith, General Manager Fleet Personnel, Carnival UK, Colin Dorrington, Southampton Centre Manager.

Two phone booths and two internet stations will be inscribed 'Generously donated by Princess Cruises on the occasion of the naming of Sea Princess June 2005'.
