Chaplaincy Team
Three Chaplains are based in the Centre and represent the three largest international Christian Mission Societies serving seafarers. They visit all the areas of Southampton Docks on a daily basis and can also be contacted at the Centre. The Chaplains will be happy to arrange special services and masses.

Father Jack Padua
Apostleship of the Sea
Father Jack Padua is the AOS Port Chaplain in Southampton and also the regional coordinator for AOS in the south coast ports. Father Jack, originally from the Archdiocese of Manila has in recent years been parish priest and also led the Filipino chaplaincy in Menevia, Wales.
Father Jack comes to AOS with a wide pastoral experience in a number of countries together with teaching and business skills.

Reverend Frans Sahetapy
The Sailors' Society
The new Sailors' Society Chaplain is the Revd. Frans Sahetapy.
He joined the Southampton Centre Chaplaincy team in May and comes to us from Indonesia.
Frans was ordained into the Indonesian Protestant Church in 1997. He joined the Indonesian Seafarers Ministry in 2000 and was based in Bataam Island. With the closure of that Centre he moved to Cebu in the Philippines. In 2004, whilst working in Belawan, North Sumatra, he joined BISS as the Balawan Port Chaplain.

Reverend Andrew Huckett
The Mission to Seafarers
Reverend Andrew Huckett has recently joined the Chaplaincy Team in Southampton following a long spell as the Mission to Seafarers Chaplain in the Medway/Thames. Andrew is a long serving chaplain of the Society. He is also Chaplain to the Church on the High Seas.
