Facilities
The centre provides a comfortable relaxed environment for seafarers visiting the port.
Tea and coffee are continuously available free of charge. A wide selection of library books and video tapes may be borrowed from the Centre.
A small licensed bar is available together with a small selection of hot food. There is a pool table and satellite TV. The Centre is a non smoking area, however a smoking shelter is provided outside the main building.

Telephones
The Centre has 10 telephone booths, which will accept most seafarers phone cards.
Various phone cards are available from the bar and vary from time to time to ensure the best value for seafarers from different parts of the world.
Phone cards may be purchased from either the Centre staff or the Chaplains during their ship visits.
Caution... Phone cards may also be offered for sale to you by others in the docks, they may or may not be genuine, please be careful and only buy cards from the Chaplains or Centre Ship Visitors. All Chaplains and Centre Ship Visitors will have clearly marked helmets and safety jackets.
Out of Hours Phones: The Centre has two phones situated outside the Centre and are operated by seafarers phonecards for out of hours calls.

Internet
The Centre has a small Internet café consisting of 5 computers from which emails can be sent and received. Access to the system will cost £1 GBP for 30 minutes.
Our Internet café uses state of the art equipment, Firewalls, Virus Protection and Broadband technology for fast and reliable connection.
All our computers have floppy disk drives to allow seafarers to bring in their personal correspondence from their ship on a floppy disk for emailing home.
Please note... Internet access from our Internet café to any pornography site is blocked.

The Chapel
The Centre has a small interfaith worship area for quiet prayer and reflection.
The worship area is always open and available for private prayer. Daily prayers, led by the duty Chaplain, are held in the Chapel at 08:50 Mondays to Fridays.
Services and Masses can be arranged directly with the Chaplains.
Prayer cards and votive candles are available in the worship area.
The Centre Supervisor or any of the Chaplains can provide details of local Mosques and other places of worship in the surrounding area..

Recreation
Pool, Bar Football are available as are musical instruments.
An extensive library is avilable which contains books in many languages. All books may be loaned from the Centre free of charge.
Warm knitted hats, scarves and socks are usually available for visiting seafarers, a small donation to the Centres' costs would be appreciated for these goods.

Foreign Exchange
Limited forex is available from US$ and Euros to Sterling. Exchange rates are usually better than the banks, no commission is charged.

Bus Transport
The Centre runs a limited mini bus service. Ship visitors may pick up seafarers wishing to visit the Centre during the day. To check bus availability call the Centre on Tel: +44 (0)1375 846151.
